Description

Brazilianite is a sodium aluminium phosphate with a monoclinic crystal system and a hardness of 5.5. Its color is yellow to yellow-green, and it forms prismatic crystals. It is sometimes misidentified as Amblygonite or Chrysoberyl. It is found primarily in Espirito Santo and Minas Gerais, Brazil, as well as in New Hampshire in the USA.
