Description
Celestial Quartz, also known as ‘Pineapple Quartz’, is a silicon dioxide mineral with a hardness of 7. Its crystal system is hexagonal (trigonal). It has an unusual characteristic of forming hundreds of tiny terminations all over the body of the main crystal, parallel to the axis of the main crystal body and usually pointing in the same direction as the main crystal termination. Most Celestial Quartz has been found in Madagascar.
