Description

Iolite-Sunstone is a naturally occurring combination of Iolite and Sunstone. Iolite is a magnesium aluminium silicate mineral with a hardness of 7 to 7.5. It forms in short prismatic crystals which have an orthorhombic structure. The name Iolite comes from the stone’s violet color. Iolite is also known as Cordierite, Dichroite and/or Water Sapphire. Sunstone is oligioclase feldspar mineral with a hardness of 6 to 6.5.
